Everyone’s favourite. Planted in 1999 our Lease Block vineyard produces exceptional grapes year after year. 2020 is possibly one of the best vintages in Martinborough for 20 years, we are very excited to release this wine.
The wine showcases the berry, spice and savoury flavours for which Martinborough Pinot Noir is renowned with the extra depth, texture and complexity that mature vines and an outstanding site deliver. This wine will improve under sound cellaring conditions for 6-8 years and provide pleasurable drinking for many years thereafter.
Unfined and unfiltered. Suitable for vegans.

Still very youthful, the delicious 2020 vintage (5*) is a single-vineyard red, from vines planted in 1999. Matured for 16 months in French oak barriques (30 per cent new), it is deep ruby, mouthfilling, sweet-fruited and supple, with very generous cherry, plum and spice flavours, ripe, savoury and harmonious. A classy young red, it’s well worth cellaring to 2024+.

Rich, ripe, fruit focused pinot noir with Black Doris plum, dark cherry, cassis, vanilla and spicy oak flavours. An accessible and appealing wine with a silken texture and lingering finish. Clearly from a successful vintage. 08 SEP 2021

Aromas of fresh and ripe berry fruits, sweet toasty barrel spices, strawberry and a core of silty mineral Martinborough terrace scents. Youthful and complex, enticing and fresh. Youthful textures on the palate with chalky tannins and plenty of acidity, there’s a core of red berry fruit flavours, spice and judicious use of oak. A lovely example with best drinking from 2022 through 2028+.

Immensely complex and engaging, the wine shows dark cherry, dried herb, game, toasted spice and dark mushroom aromas on the nose. The concentrated palate is both refined and persistent with silky texture and seamless flow. Superbly framed by fine polished tannins, finishing impressively long and satisfying. At its best: now to 2028.
