Nga Waka Rose 2025

Our first release for the 2025 vintage.

Nga Waka Rosé is pink blush in colour with delicate aromas of cherry and strawberry. Made entirely from Pinot Noir grapes from our Pirinoa vineyard site. The juice was pressed off with minimal skin contact and fermented at low temperatures to produce a fresh, crisp Rosé, prefect for Summer drinking. Serve slightly chilled with sunshine and good company.

Made entirely with Pinot Noir fruit – presenting aromas of red cherry and raspberry, an echo of strawberry then blossoms. A bouquet and wine of finesse and charm. Delicious on the palate, saline and salivating, super fine tannins with an exuberant flavour profile of red berries and plum, summer berry pudding and red apple skin. Refreshing, balanced, well made and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2027+.

Nga Waka Chardonnay 2024

Our Nga Waka Chardonnay is 100% barrel fermented in tight-grain French oak barriques, 20% of which are new. The wine spends 10 months in barrel and is lees-stirred monthly.

A rich, complex Martinborough Chardonnay showing intense ripe stone fruit flavours underpinned by subtle spicy and barrel fermentation characters, enhanced by a silky palate texture and a elegant lingering finish.

Nga Waka Home Block Chardonnay 2024

The Home Block Chardonnay is our flagship white wine. It is 100% barrel fermented and goes through 100% malolactic fermentation. It remains in barrel for 10 months and the lees are stirred monthly.
The wine is pale gold colour. It is rich and complex with deep, intense spicy and mineral flavours underpinned by tight-grained French oak, barrel fermentation and malolactic fermentation.
With less than 3600 bottles made this wine highly sought after.

Nga Waka Home Block Pinot Noir 2024

The first Nga Waka vines were planted in Martinborough over thirty years ago. Our Home Block Pinot Noir is a single-vineyard wine produced from our original site purchased in 1988. This is a small-production, high-quality offering, with only three barrels being carefully selected for this wine, which is a blend of traditional Pinot Noir clones UDC5 and 115. These vines and our meticulous winemaking deliver a classic Martinborough Pinot Noir, with intense berry, spice and savoury characters, offset by soft tannins, a lush texture and layers of complexity. It is a remarkable experience now, but we would urge careful cellaring for 4-6 years for the myriad components to meld to Pinot Noir perfection, and deliver superb drinking for many years thereafter.
